U.S. Congressman William Jefferson of Louisiana was caught with ninety thousand dollars in cold cash in his Washington D.C. freezer. Since he represents New Orleans, it is considered arrogant and out of touch with his constitutes to show off a working refrigerator. Congressmen in both parties said the FBI raid on a U.S. congressman’s office violated the separation of powers. Federal agents can’t just barge into a U.S. congressman’s office as if they owned the place – only lobbyist can do that.

General Mike Hayden was confirmed as CIA Director. As NSA Director he generated the president’s domestic wiretapping program – motto: we can hear everything now.
