cohenisms, part 19

while celebrating new year’s day at my in-laws, we were all hanging out in the basement with our dog, my in-laws dog and mandy’s aunt/uncle’s dog running around. i asked cohen the following:

me: “cohen do you like all these dogs running around?”
cohen: “yes, they lick me up and knock me down.”

et cetera.

no, wait. within all his funny comments and antics, and regardless of them, cohen is an absolute blessing in our life. he’s so much more than a cute little boy, so much more than our son, he is a beautiful creation from the Lord, and i am truly blessed to have been given him, to be a steward of his days. his laugh, his smile, his hugs, and his (yes) kisses are a constant reminder of Christ’s love for us. unconditional love. love that just screams to be reciprocated. so, thank you Lord. thank you for cohen. thank you for avery (she’ll be talking soon as well, averyisms are just around the corner!). thank you for Your love.
